A resin set of accessories in 1:48 scale which, according to the name, contains 36 parts. It is meant for fitting out a built model of the American Sherman medium tank with the equipment the crews carried in the field.
A production tank out of a kit looks clean, but the real vehicles were covered with everything the crew needed to live: packs, boxes, tarpaulins, jerrycans and rolled-up shelter halves. Cargo breaks up the regularity of the hull, gives the model scale and above all gives it a story. In the small 1:48 it moreover helps to fill the empty areas that would otherwise come across as a bare plate.
Before you glue anything on, lay the parts out dry and look for the places where things would realistically hold: around the turret, on the fenders and at the rear. Avoid perfect symmetry; it is never there in photographs. Paint the textile parts separately from the metal ones and bring the canvas to life with a light dry brush along the folds; only at the end unify everything with a fine dust shade. Leather straps and webbing will stand a noticeably darker tone than canvas, and once dry, bring them out with a thin line in the shadow. If you tie part of the cargo down with lines of thin wire, the whole will come across as lashed down and not merely laid on.
