Responsibility details are not available.
A standalone decal sheet in 1:48 scale for models of the North American T-6G Texan trainer aircraft in American service. The sheet suits both the replacement of the decals from the box and the building of another machine of the same type in different markings. Which particular aircraft are worked up on the sheet is given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The Texan is a two-seat piston trainer aircraft with a radial engine, a retractable undercarriage and a tandem cockpit. The T-6G version was the post-war modernization of the older production standard, which brought a reworked cockpit, a revised fuel system and newer equipment. The US Air Force used these machines for basic and continuation training as well as for auxiliary tasks, for example for locating and marking targets. A natural metal surface completed with striking conspicuous areas was typical.
With trainer machines a lot of decals are laid over engraved panel lines and transitions, so it pays to have a softener to hand. It is laid on with a brush onto a decal that is already in the right position. The film softens, draws itself to the surface and stops bridging over the grooves. Stronger products attack the film markedly, though, so do not move it and let them work until the decal has dried completely, otherwise it will crumple or tear. With larger markings it is better to choose a weaker product and repeat the application.
This is a standalone decal sheet. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
