Photo-etched parts for a model of the British Vampire FB.9 jet aircraft in 1:48 scale. They add the details that cannot be produced in plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Vampire belongs among the first British jet aircraft that reached squadron service. You will recognize it at first glance: a short fuselage nacelle, a pair of tail booms and the horizontal tail surface stretched between them. The power comes from a single turbojet engine, and the cabin sits far forward and gives the pilot an unusually good view. The designation FB.9 belongs to the fighter-bomber form.
Photo-etched parts for a model of the Vampire FB.9 aircraft in 1:48 scale. Photo-etched parts make it possible to do the details that cannot be produced in plastic: thin sheet covers, placards, harness buckles, levers and sharp edges. The exact list of parts and their placement on the model is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them before you start the build.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and never tear them out, because otherwise they will twist. Run the bends over a straight edge or in a bender, and carry small pieces with tweezers. They are glued with super glue in a really small amount, on larger areas spot by spot. Wash and degrease the photo-etched parts before painting, because otherwise the paint will not hold on them; a thin layer of primer helps.
For modelers who want to take a Vampire model beyond the level of a box build and are not afraid of working with small parts. Tweezers with a fine point, sharp blades and a calm hand all pay off. The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
