The set Eduard 1:48 Vought F4U-2 Corsair masks covers the glazing of a model during finishing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masks for a model of the night version of the Corsair carrier aircraft, worked out in 1:48 scale by the Czech maker Eduard. It covers the cockpit glazing during finishing, so that the frames come out straight and the transparent areas stay clean. A plastic kit is not part of the package; the set serves to complete one.
You know the Corsair by its cranked inverted gull wing, which made it possible to use a large propeller while keeping the landing gear legs short. The cockpit sits far back behind the long nose with its radial engine, which made landing on a deck harder for the pilots. The night variant F4U-2 came about by conversion and was distinguished by a radar pod on the right wing. It flew in the Pacific at the close of 1943 and through 1944.
First spray the frames in the interior shade, and only then the whole part in the color of the upper fuselage. Lay the thin coats down with pauses and do not overdo the air pressure. Take the masking off as soon as the surface has flashed off; in a fully cured finish there is a risk that the edge will peel away along with the paint. Remove dust from the glazing with a soft brush both before and after finishing.
The product is meant for painting a Corsair model that you obtain separately.
