The Art Scale Walrus Mk.1 mask 1:48 is a double-sided set of painting masks for a clean spray of the glazing of a model of this British amphibian. The masks are made for the Airfix kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model but a set of self-adhesive painting masks in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Art Scale (ASK). The masks are cut from thin adhesive film and serve for a precise spray of the frames of the glazed cockpit. Double-sided means that the set masks the glazing from the outer as well as the inner side, so the frames get their color from inside too.
The Supermarine Walrus was a British amphibious single-engine biplane with a pusher propeller, used by the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force for reconnaissance, for artillery spotting from ships and above all for rescuing downed airmen at sea. Thanks to catapult launching from warships and the ability to land on water it saved many crews. The Mk.1 version had an all-metal hull.
Peel the mask off with tweezers, seat it on the frame and press it down. We recommend the interior color first, then the shade of the frames. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge of the mask. The set usually contains numbered parts and instructions.
This is an accessory (masks), not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
