War posters of the USA, Great Britain, Germany and the USSR 1:48 are an accessory for a diorama from the Czech maker Hauler, not a model kit. A set of printed posters of the four warring sides reduced in scale will bring the walls of houses, fences and posting surfaces of a finished scene to life.

This is a diorama accessory, not a model of an aircraft or a vehicle. The package holds reproductions of period propaganda and information posters of the four main warring sides reduced to 1:48 scale, that is, to the ratio in which a poster on a wall is only a few millimeters tall. The accessory is meant for modelers who already have a scene built and are looking for a small element that anchors it in time and place.
Posters belong where they were in reality too - on the plaster of a house, on the wooden boarding of a building site, on a poster column, on the inner wall of a headquarters or a workshop. It is just such a detail that gives a diorama a legible context without drawing attention to itself. Because it is a flat printed element, it combines well with the resin and photo-etched accessories of the same series and suits figure views too.
Cut them out with a new, sharp scalpel along a ruler - a blunt blade crushes the edge of the paper and the poster then stands off the wall. Smear the back with a thin layer of white glue and press the poster down with a soft brush so that it follows the unevenness of the ground; on a brick wall it can be lightly moistened with water and pressed into the joints. Realism is helped by lightly tearing the corners and by gently dulling the surface with a matte varnish, because a real poster is never glossy. Aging is given by a light brown wash around the edges and discreet drybrushing, which imitates faded printing. Use pigments very sparingly, so that the motif stays legible.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and not set into a base. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
