A set of warehouse equipment in 1:48 scale is a diorama accessory for depots, workshops and farm support areas. It is not a kit but equipment for a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A depot is a rewarding diorama setting, because it explains what is happening in a scene and yet needs no large area. A piece of wall, a door and equipment that suggests activity are enough. This set is not a kit of a building or a vehicle but a collection of stand-alone objects of a scene intended precisely to make a space look used.
The set suits depot halls, workshop support areas, ramps, hangars and farm buildings. It also works well as the background of an aviation or automotive display cabinet, where the main model is to stay at the front and the support area merely suggests the setting. When composing it, bear in mind that a free aisle should remain in the scene, because a depot a person could not walk through looks unconvincing. Different heights of object help: lower pieces to the front, taller ones to the back by the wall.
Wash the parts, let them dry out and lay them out dry on the scene before gluing, so that you know how much room they will take. Clean up the parting marks and lay down a thin coat of base color. With warehouse equipment it is good not to keep to a uniform shade; different ages and different owners mean different colors, which gives a scene naturalness. Vary the wooden surfaces with a glaze and thin brown washes, and give the metal parts a dark wash and a dry brush on the edges. Worn corners, dents and dust at ground level matter more in a depot than a perfect surface. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a base for the diorama are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
