A set of wheelbarrows in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Hauler is a diorama accessory, not a model nor a kit of a vehicle. It serves to bring the scene around a model, a building or figures you have already built to life.

A set of small diorama props: hand wheelbarrows of the kind in which material was moved in workshops, on building sites and on field airfields. It is not a model of a vehicle nor a kit - they are separate accessories that complete the setting around a finished model. Hauler is a Czech maker of aftermarket accessories and diorama elements.
A diorama lives off small things. An empty area around equipment or an aircraft looks sterile, but one wheelbarrow leaning against a wall and another tipped over beside a heap of sand will give a scene a story and a yardstick alike. A wheelbarrow is moreover one of the few props that works across periods and armies - from a village yard through a repair workshop to a present-day building site.
First separate the parts carefully from the casting blocks or the fret and clean them up with a file and fine abrasive paper. Before painting, degrease the whole accessory and go over it with a primer, because on small parts paint holds poorly without a ground. The body is usually sprayed with a metallic or dark color, and wooden handles come out well with a light ground and an oil glaze, which creates the grain of the wood. A dark wash into the hollows follows, then fine chipping with a brush, and finally dust and mud with pigments, mainly around the rim of the wheel and on the lower edge of the body, where the dirt lingers most.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base of the diorama are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
