Wine bottles in 1:48 scale are a scenic accessory for a diorama. It is not a model kit but small props for interiors, back areas and civilian scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set belongs among the scenic accessories for dioramas and display scenes. It is not a kit of an aircraft or a vehicle — these are stand-alone small props, added to a scene beside a finished model, the interior of a building or figures. The name is in the plural, so there is more than one bottle.
Bottles are a rewarding prop anywhere a scene is meant to look lived in: in the interior of an inn or a kitchen, on a table beside figures, in a cellar, in a box by a wall, on the bed of a vehicle and among ruins. In 1:48 scale they are small, but it is exactly details like these that make the difference between a model on a bare base and a scene a viewer believes. The accessory is not tied to a particular kit and combines with any model in the same scale.
In small scales glass is best imitated by painting the part in a dark shade — bottle green, brown or amber — and going over it with a gloss clear varnish. With glass the sheen matters more than the shade; a matte surface gives away that this is a casting. You can set the neck apart with a thin line of silver or gold paint, and a small rectangle of a light color will suggest a label. The work calls for tweezers and a fine brush. For gluing use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) in a minimal amount, so that it does not dull the glossy surface. Work in a well-ventilated room.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
