A set of masks for spraying a model of the Yak-130 trainer in 1:48 scale. They are applied before painting and produce sharp transitions on the cockpit frames.

Masks for spraying a model of the Yak-130 aircraft in 1:48 scale. They cover the glazed areas of the cockpit, so that after spraying the view through stays clean and the frames have a sharp edge. Compared with taping, the set saves a great deal of time and the result is repeatable.
The Yak-130 is a two-seat jet aircraft of Russian design, intended for advanced pilot training and, in its armed form, for light combat duties as well. The cockpit has a tandem layout, that is, two seats one behind the other, and its glazing is long and divided up. That is exactly why a masking set pays off more on this type than on a single-seat aircraft.
They are applied to clean, degreased glazing before spraying. Press the edges down carefully with the blunt tip of tweezers or with a toothpick so that no paint runs under them, and lay the paint on in thin coats. Leave the masks on the model until the last coat and take them off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch; if they stay on longer they come away less easily. Correct any small overrun with a pointed brush and wipe adhesive residue off with a soft cloth.
The set is for modelers who are building the Yak-130 in 1:48 scale and want the cockpit frames straight and without overruns. The masks are cut to the outlines of a particular kit, so check in advance which model the set is prepared for. It also suits modelers who are starting out with masks, because the glazing of this aircraft is hard to tape by hand.
The box holds masks. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
