1:48 Yak-1/3/7/9 in Polish service, part 1 is a decal set from the brand Model Maker for the Yakovlev fighters operated by Polish units.
Responsibility details are not available.
This decal sheet from the brand Model Maker in 1:48 scale covers the fighters of the Yakovlev design bureau, specifically the Yak-1, Yak-3, Yak-7 and Yak-9 types, in the markings of Polish units. The name designates it as the first part of a series. The set is meant for finishing off a built model and holds no plastic parts.
The fighters of the Yakovlev family were among the most widespread Soviet types of the Second World War. The single-seat Yak-1, Yak-3 and Yak-9 were built on a light mixed structure with wooden and metal elements, while the two-seat Yak-7 began as a trainer and later became a combat derivative as well. The Polish air units formed on the Eastern Front flew exactly the machines of this family.
Paint the model first and overcoat it with a gloss varnish. Soak the decal in lukewarm water, let it stand and, once it has released from the paper, slide it into place. Blot the remaining water away and use a softener over engraved lines. Once it is completely dry, the final varnish follows, as a rule a matte or semi-matte one on machines of this category.
The package holds decals; it is not a kit. The model, the paints, the varnishes and the glue are not part of it.
