A photo-etched accessory set for a model of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-9T fighter in 1:48 scale. Intended for working up the detail of a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Yak-9 was one of the most numerous Soviet fighters of the Second World War, a single-engine low-wing monoplane of mixed construction. The Yak-9T form carried a large-caliber cannon on the axis of the propeller, intended against ground targets, armor and bombers. Because of the length of the weapon the cockpit moved back, so the machine can be recognized at first glance. For a model it follows that the difference of this form shows above all in the nose and in the seating of the cockpit.
It is a set of photo-etched parts for a model of the Yak-9T in 1:48 scale. Photo-etch is used where a plastic part would come out disproportionately thick: on thin sheet, grilles, levers, buckles and other small items. Which parts of the model the set covers, how many parts it holds and which kit it is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions; go through them in full before you start separating anything from the fret.
The parts are joined to the fret by thin tabs. Separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface rather than with scissors, otherwise they will twist. Make the bends over the edge of a bender or a metal ruler and press evenly along the whole length. They are glued with super glue applied in a minute amount, for instance on the tip of a wire. Give the parts you are going to paint a base coat first, as paint will not hold on bare degreased metal.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
