A photo-etched detail part meant to cover and refine the landing gear bay of a model of the Soviet fighter Yakovlev Yak-3 in 1:48 scale. The thin metal cover reproduces the shape and the sheet metal of the real aircraft faithfully where a plastic mold stays coarse. This is an accessory for models of this type, not a kit of the aircraft. The photo-etched fret is prepared for the Zvezda kit.
The Yakovlev Yak-3 was a light and agile Soviet fighter from the end of the Second World War, prized for its outstanding maneuverability at low and medium altitudes. Its clean aerodynamic shapes make it a rewarding subject to build.
Cut the part off the fret, bend it gently to the shape of the bay if need be and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal and prime it before spraying.
This is an accessory part, not a kit of the aircraft. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
