1:72 Italian Gustavs over Sicily #2 - Bf-109 G in Regia Aeronautica (Part 2)

Italian Gustavs over Sicily (Part 2): Bf 109G, 1:72 (Exotic Decals)

A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Exotic Decals. The second part of a series devoted to the Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighters that operated over Sicily in the Italian colors of the Regia Aeronautica. The decals are printed on a thin glossy carrier film with good coverage and precise print registration.

The real subject

The Bf 109G Gustav was among the most widespread fighters of the Second World War, and the Italians deployed it in the defensive fighting for Sicily in 1943. The Italian machines carried the characteristic national insignia, fuselage codes and tactical markings of their squadrons, which differed markedly from the German schemes.

Use

• Cut the part out together with the edge of the carrier film and dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water.
• Apply onto a smooth gloss varnish, sliding it off the backing into the correct position.
• Soak the excess water up and settle it into the details of the surface with a decal softener.
• After drying, go over it with a clear varnish to unify the surface.

Who the set is for

• Modelers of Bf 109G fighters in 1:72 scale
• Anyone interested in the less usual Italian schemes of the Regia Aeronautica
• Collectors of aircraft decals from the fighting for the Mediterranean

This is a separate set of decals. The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package.
