1:48 F-14D Tomcat one-sided express fit mask is a sheet of shaped Art Scale parts for a model of the F-14D carrier fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of precisely shaped parts covers the glazing of the tandem cockpit and the other places where the surface is to stay untouched. The frames then come out straight even without tape cut freehand. The one-sided designation in the name sets this item apart from the double-sided rendition.
The D version was the final production form of the Tomcat. The two-seat carrier fighter received more powerful engines of the F110 series, reworked avionics and a new radar, and it served with the US Navy until 2006. At the same time it kept its large canopy without a transverse frame, thanks to which the crew had an exceptional field of view. The twin vertical tail surfaces and the large nacelles separated by a flat fuselage remained its recognition marks.
Before sticking them on, plan the order of the shades: usually the inner color of the frames comes first and only after it the top camouflage. Hold the airbrush at a right angle and at lower pressure, otherwise the paint will get under the edge of the part. Let the finished coat flash off and take the mask away with bent tweezers so the clear plastic is not scratched. The leftover edges of the sheet come in handy for masking wheels.
