British fire extinguishers are a set of small accessories from the Czech manufacturer Plus Model. They contain extinguishers of two different types, of the kind carried on British military hardware during the Second World War, and a small decal sheet for the labels and lettering.
On a real vehicle a fire extinguisher tends to be mounted on a fender, on the wall of the fighting compartment or right beside the driver's seat. On a model it is a small part with a large effect: it breaks up the uniform surface of the hull, adds a color accent and looks convincing even on an otherwise austere machine. It serves equally well in a tableau on a workshop wall, on the bed of a truck or at a field post. Because there are spare pieces in the package, several machines can be equipped from one purchase.
British vehicles of the period carried hand extinguishers with a metal body and a pump, alongside which larger pressure vessels with a differently shaped head also appeared. It is exactly the pair of different renditions that makes it possible to equip machines of various categories, from a light carrier through an artillery tractor to a tank. The lettering on the body of an extinguisher tended to be conspicuous, which is why the small decal sheet is a good helper.
