Replacement tires for the Soviet light armored car, this time in the variant designated as type B. Against the first variant of the range it offers a different tread pattern, so a choice can be made according to what wheels the vehicle carries in a particular photograph.
The BA-64 was created on the chassis of a cross-country passenger car and was the smallest armored vehicle the Soviet army deployed during the war. It served mainly for reconnaissance, liaison and escort, so in photographs it tends to be caught in deep mud and on dusty roads alike. It is precisely on a machine like this that the footprint of the tire on the ground is clearly visible and worth attention.
The set is for builders of reconnaissance equipment and for those who build scenes on a soft surface. On a vehicle of this size the wheels make up a substantial part of the silhouette, so it pays not to skimp on them.
The set is cut for a particular vehicle, so on another type it need not fit in either dimensions or mounting to the axle. It therefore pays to check whether your kit matches what the wheels are intended for, and whether you do not rather need the second rendition of the same range.
