Decals with the markings of the Spitfire Mk.IXc machines flown by Czech airmen, in 1:144 scale. This is the second part of the series. It is a set from the brand AML.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was the answer to the new German fighter aircraft: into the proven airframe it took a more powerful Merlin V12 engine with a two-stage supercharger, which gave it back its performance at high altitude. The letter c in the designation belongs to the universal wing, which made it possible to put the armament together from several arrangements. Airmen from Czechoslovakia served with the Royal Air Force in squadrons of their own, and the Spitfire was for them the type they flew for a substantial part of the war.
Decals in 1:144 scale for models of the Spitfire in the Mk.IXc version. The designation Part II indicates that this is a continuation of the range, so further machines can be added beyond those the previous sheet offered. How many sets of markings are on the sheet and which particular machines they belong to is given by the manufacturer in the enclosed overview; the placement of the individual elements follows from it as well.
Cut the element out as close to the printing as you can and dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds, until it starts to release from the backing. Do not slide it onto the model dry but over a thin film of water, so that it can be eased into the right position. The surface must be smooth and glossy; on a matte coat a white haze will appear under the decal. Press the remaining water out with a cotton swab from the center toward the edges. A decal softener will help the decal settle into the engraving. Finally secure everything with varnish.
For modelers interested in Czech aviation history who build in the small scale. The decals are the subject of the delivery. A kit, paints and varnishes are not included, unless stated otherwise.
