1:144 Spitfire Mk.IXc, the third part of the range with Czech pilots widens the choice of markings with further machines of the British fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The continuation of the range brings the markings of further Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc aircraft flown by Czechoslovak pilots in the Royal Air Force. The sheet is executed in 1:144 scale and assumes a model that already has its finish complete. It will serve just as well as a separate accessory and as part of a collection put together bit by bit.
Czechoslovak fighter pilots served in Britain with three units, which were joined into a common wing in 1944. Each had fuselage letters of its own, by which the machines were told apart on the ground and in the air. The wing escorted bomber formations, patrolled over the Normandy landings and attacked ground targets. In August 1945 the airmen flew home on their own machines, and the Spitfires became the first postwar equipment of the restored Czechoslovak Air Force.
Once the markings are dry, leave the model to stand for at least a day before the clear coat goes on. At this scale a semi-gloss surface is better, because an entirely matte coat visually swallows small shapes. Remove fingerprints beforehand, because under the varnish they will stay for good. Wipe the surplus adhesive around a seated motif away with a cotton swab before it dries, otherwise it will leave a matte halo.
