1:72 MiG-21 PF - Expert Kabukli Masks (for Eduard Kits)

Masks for the MiG-21PF in 1:72 scale

A set of cut painting masks of kabuki tape for the MiG-21PF model in 1:72 scale, according to the name prepared for kits from the Eduard brand. Kabuki tape is thin, it follows rounded surfaces well and leaves no adhesive behind once removed. This is not a kit, but an accessory to one.

The real subject

The MiG-21 is among the most widespread supersonic aircraft of all; the PF version is an interceptor with the radar placed in the cone in the air intake. The model has a small but strongly divided canopy, and it is precisely the sharp frames of the glazing that decide how the silhouette looks in the display case.

How to use the masks

• Apply the masks onto a clean and degreased surface before spraying.
• Lift the element off the sheet with the tip of a scalpel and lay it on dry, without stretching; kabuki tape can be repositioned once if needed.
• Press the edges down with a blunt tip, so that paint does not creep under them.
• Spray in thin layers and let each one dry.
• Lift the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, pulling it across the edge of the element.

Who the set is for

For builders of jet aircraft in 1:72 scale who do not want to lose time trimming tape directly on the model. This set is the level designated Expert; the exact extent, that is, which surfaces the elements cover, is given in the instructions for the set. The package contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
