The mask set Paint Mask Set WWII 1946 German Disc Camo (Equal Size Roundels) in 1:16 scale works with discs of a single size, roughly eleven millimeters in diameter, and is supplied on two sheets.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two sheets carry discs roughly eleven millimeters in diameter, that is, in a single size for the whole model. A uniform dimension gives the result a regular rhythm and is considerably easier to lay out than a set with graduated discs. The extent of the sheets is enough for one large model. The carrier is a thin semi-transparent tape tested on varnished and clear surfaces alike.
The recommendations mention tank destroyers and self-propelled guns built on the chassis of medium tanks, further the Panther and the light Hetzer, and with them the projected types of the so-called E-series. Those never reached production, but among builders of large scales they are popular precisely because no one prescribed a scheme for them.
At the end of the war German units moved from continuous bands to small dots and discs scattered over the base shade. The aim was to imitate sunlight coming through the leaves, because the equipment then stood mostly dug in at the edge of woods, waiting in an ambush position. The set aims at the heavy types of the end of the war and at the projected machines that never reached series production.
Let the base color cure fully, ideally overnight. Distribute the discs irregularly but evenly, and avoid regular rows. Spray a light layer from above and dab the paint on rather than flooding it. In a large scale every edge the paint has run under shows clearly.
