Responsibility details are not available.
Two sheets with the memorial marking of the Japanese F-4EJ Kai, which was given an overall dark finish for the farewell to the type. The carrier is a fine masking tape, which after careful removal can be used again. Count on the plastic base being supplied by another box.
The Japanese 302nd Squadron said goodbye to the Phantom in the spring of 2019 after forty-five years of service. In its badge it carried a sea eagle, which among the photographers around the base was called white-tailed, and it was precisely this one that appeared on both commemorative machines. The unit then moved to the north of the island of Honshu and re-equipped with fifth-generation machines.
In 1:32 the motifs are of such dimensions that every inaccuracy is apparent at first glance. All the more does it pay to spray them: the edge stays sharp, the paint has the same sheen as its surroundings and the transition makes no step anywhere. Before sticking the masks on it is worth degreasing the area and letting the base layer cure thoroughly, so that it does not tear during removal. The finished area then only needs polishing over with a fine sponge and the dark finish gains the depth a large model deserves.
