The set 1:32 Canopy Paint Mask Set For A-26B Invader Interior And Exterior masks the glazing of the bomber from both sides.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two sheets of masks for the glazed parts of the large twin-engine machine, for the outer and the inner sides alike. The tape peels off easily and leaves no adhesive residue even on clear plastic. The individual parts are cut to the shape of the frames. The contents of the package are sheets of masks, nothing more.
The cabin of the Invader is largely glazed and the frames are visible from both sides. If only the outside is painted, bare clear plastic shows through from the inside and the illusion of glazing falls apart. The inner parts therefore make it possible to spray the frames in the interior shade before the glazing is fitted to the fuselage, and the result then holds up even when seen from above. On twin-engine attack aircraft the glazing tends to be divided into several separate assemblies, which are finished one after another.
First the inner masks and the color of the cabin come in turn; after drying, the glazing is seated and masked over from the outside. The base layer of the frames follows and finally the topcoat of the fuselage. Removal comes right at the very end, ideally still before flattening down, so that no misted imprint or dust set into the varnish remains on the clear part. It is good to put the finished parts away in a closed box, so that nothing catches on the sticky edge.
