Masks for the pixel camouflage and marking of the Bulgarian Su-25K and Su-25UBK attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. Three sheets for single-seat and two-seat machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pixel finish that the Bulgarian attack aircraft received during a life extension cannot be managed convincingly with a brush or a decal. The package brings pre-cut masks for the whole pattern and with them the national insignia and fuselage numbers.
Digital camouflages are based on the fact that the eye and the lens perceive a fine structure differently from continuous patches. A mosaic of small fields breaks up the outline of the machine at several distances at once, which makes sense with an aircraft operating low over the terrain. Bulgaria distinguished its upgraded Frogfoots from the original Soviet finish this way, and since then the machines cannot be mistaken for anything else. The single-seat and two-seat renditions carry the pattern run identically; they differ only in the shape of the fuselage behind the cockpit.
Large areas are masked section by section, so that the tape does not twist and the edges do not lift. The tape base is thin enough not to create a step at the edge of a field under the spray. Apply the paint in thin layers and at right angles to the edge of the mask, as otherwise it will run under. Only after the pattern is finished do the insignia and numbers come in turn, which are sprayed as the last step.
