Large-area camouflage on a model with a span of over forty centimeters forgives little. Every ripple of a boundary is visible and cutting tape by hand takes a whole evening. This set offers a ready solution: three sheets of thin masking tape with the whole camouflage pattern and in addition stencils of the Israeli national insignia, so you spray the Star of David instead of applying a decal.
Besides the fields of the camouflage scheme, the sheets carry stencils for the insignia on the fuselage and wings. Sprayed marking has two advantages over a decal: it has no carrier film to shine under sharp light, and the edge of the paint sits precisely into the relief of the panel lines.
The F-15I is the Israeli version of the F-15E Strike Eagle fighter-bomber, called Raam in Hebrew, that is, Thunder. It entered service in the second half of the 1990s and differs from the base type in its instrument equipment, its electronic warfare system and also in a different treatment of the engine nozzles. It is precisely the nozzles and the camouflage pattern that are the two features by which you recognize the Israeli machine at first glance.
The package consists exclusively of masks, without paints and without a kit.
