Painting masks for the digital camouflage of the Russian Su-57 Felon aircraft in 1:48 scale. The mosaic of pixel fields with sharply cut edges is supplied ready by the manufacturer, divided across a pair of sheets.
Responsibility details are not available.
The finish of the Russian fifth-generation machine is formed by a mosaic of irregular fields, which can be convincingly imitated neither by freehand spraying nor by applied decals. The set deals with the whole pattern by a machine cut into two sheets of thin masking tape, so the build is shortened from evenings to hours and the edges stay as hard as on the subject.
The recommended sequence is from the lightest shade to the darkest. Once the base has dried, the fields that are to keep the light tone are laid on and the next layer is sprayed over. The translucency of the carrier helps at the same time to check whether the pattern lines up across the edge of the wing and across the center section. Because the tape is thin, no perceptible step arises at the boundary.
The Su-57 is a Russian multirole combat aircraft of the fifth generation with reduced radar reflectivity, internal weapons bays and high agility given by thrust vectoring. The air force is introducing it gradually and the preproduction and production examples appeared in several trial finishes. The digital scheme is among those that made the machine famous at air shows.
The contents are a masking set. You will find nothing else for the build in it.
