A two-sheet set of masks for the camouflage and marking of the two-seat Northrop F-5F in a large scale. Besides the camouflage fields it also contains the national insignia and lettering, so the marking arises by spraying and not from decals.
The VFC-111 Sun Downers unit is a reserve squadron of the US Navy and its task in training is to demonstrate the behavior of foreign equipment. The small and agile Tiger II suits this role in size and in performance; the two-seat F-5F version additionally makes it possible to carry an instructor in the second cockpit. So that crews recognize the opponent at a distance, aggressor machines carry striking and often very colorful schemes.
In a large scale every imprecisely led transition between fields is visible, so it pays to let the paint dry through properly between layers and not to hurry the peeling. Lay the camouflage fields gradually and keep checking that the edges line up across the wing and the fuselage. Leave the insignia and lettering until the end, only after the last tone has dried. Lay the small lettering with tweezers and keep watching its inclination against the axis of the fuselage.
A model and paints are not enclosed.
