The camouflage scheme of type B for the Spitfire in 1:72 scale as pre-cut shapes on one sheet.
Responsibility details are not available.
In a small scale the divided British scheme is painted worse than in larger ones: the fields are tiny, the edges short and every deviation is conspicuous against the length of the fuselage. The carrier material here is a thin masking tape, whose shapes correspond to the most widespread Spitfire mold in this size today and according to the manufacturer will also fit kits of other brands. There is one sheet and the material is semi-transparent, so even small parts can be seated at the first attempt.
A point worth knowing before mixing the paints: the shades differed during the war according to what happened to be available. In practice you will therefore meet machines from dark brown tones to markedly lightened gray-green areas, without any of them being wrong. A modeler thus has unusually wide freedom. The pattern itself, however, was not free; in shape it kept to the regulation and existed in two mirror forms; this set carries the second of them.
Use sharp tweezers and a new scalpel, as otherwise the small shapes will deform when taken off the sheet. Lead the spray at right angles and with low pressure, because in this scale even an ordinary layer of paint comes across as heavy and needlessly emphasizes the edges. After peeling the masks off, check the transitions against the light; small leaks can be repaired with a thin brush before the varnish comes.
