1:48 Kokusai Ta-Go is an add-on set of resin and photo-etched parts that raises the level of detail of the plastic kit of this Japanese machine.
Responsibility details are not available.
An upgrade set cut exactly for the plastic Ta-Go kit from the same manufacturer in 1:48 scale. According to the manufacturer it holds thirteen resin castings: the body of a bomb, a one-piece oil cooler, a static insert for the air intake, four hollowed exhausts, two wheels with detailed hubs and tread pattern, and a bomb rack with struts. The photo-etched fret adds a seat harness, a new instrument panel with a printed film of dials, the tail section of the bomb and the frames of the windscreen.
The pair of wheels and the hollowed exhaust mouths show the most, because that is exactly where plastic runs into the limits of an injection mold. The instrument panel with its film in turn gives the cockpit a depth that a painted plastic part never has. The windscreen film has printed outlines for exact cutting, so the most unpleasant part of working with vacuum-formed glazing falls away.
Rinse the castings and get rid of the casting blocks before you glue anything at all. The photo-etched parts are bent in a bending tool or between two razor blades, and the seat harness is annealed over a flame before shaping so that it softens. Everything is fitted before the fuselage is closed up. The metal calls for a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold.
The kit itself, paints and glue are not in the package.
