1:9 Ukrainian Soldier 01 is a sizeable resin figure of a Ukrainian soldier with a weapon fitted with a suppressor. It opens the numbered line of large figures of the brand BlackSnake Model.

The large 1:9 scale moves the figure from the category of an accessory into a collector's object in its own right: the figure grows to roughly twenty centimeters and stands up to a level of elaboration you will never see on small toy soldiers. The casting is in resin and represents a soldier of the Azov Regiment, a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.
A weapon with a suppressor fitted suggests tasks in which concealment decides: moves at night, work in built-up areas, reconnaissance ahead of the main forces. For that the figure carries the kit which settled in Ukrainian units after 2022, that is a plate carrier with a front panel of pouches, a helmet with a rail mount and slimmed-down field gear. The Azov Regiment came into being in 2014 and gained the widest attention through the defense of Mariupol.
A large figure forgives fewer mistakes in the preparation than in the painting, so devote time to the mold seams; a thin layer of filler primer reveals them before you run into them with the paint. Skin in this format stands out with oil paints, which can be blended for a long time, while the textile and the equipment are managed by ordinary acrylics. Paint the face before you assemble the figure.
