The McLaren MP4/5B is the single-seater of the 1990 season. Under the rear cover worked a Honda ten-cylinder engine, the design was led by Neil Oatley and Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger took turns behind the wheel. Senna won the drivers' world championship title with it and the team took the constructors' cup. The car came into being as an elaborate evolution of the previous type and its white and red color scheme is among the most recognizable in the history of Formula 1.
