The Sandcrawler is an enormous tracked vehicle that in the world of Star Wars serves the Jawas as a mobile workshop, store and dwelling. It drives through the desert landscape, collects discarded equipment and droids and sells them on. Characteristic are the tall body with sloping sides, set on massive tracked running gear, and the folding ramp in the front wall. The vehicle appears in the series The Mandalorian as well, from which the younger part of the audience knows it too.
It is a 3D puzzle in 1:78 scale, that is a build in which a three-dimensional model of the vehicle gradually arises out of flat pieces. Thanks to the pronounced mass of the real subject, the finished whole is conspicuous even from a distance and suits a shelf alongside other collector's pieces. The procedure, the order of the pieces and the recommended age are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Assemble on a flat surface and take the pieces out slowly, so as not to crease the thin joints. First put together the inner supporting part and only then the side walls, otherwise the body will twist. Protect the finished model from direct sun and damp and remove dust from it with a soft brush.
The puzzle will please collectors of equipment from the world of Star Wars and anyone looking for a build for an evening or two in which modeling craft does not matter. It is a puzzle to be assembled, not a finished model; paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
