The blue Civic Type R in the trim of the car that sets the pace on a circuit. Race number 3, the 2023 season, a metal form in 1:64.

Safety and pace-setting cars belong to circuit racing as naturally as the starting lights. They tend to be production sports models completed with beacon lights, markings and sometimes racing seats as well, and the brands use them as a shop window. That is exactly why cars with the sharpest chassis in the whole range appear in this role.
The newest Civic with the letter R in its designation was presented in 2022 and took away some of the sharp edges of its wild predecessor. The force-fed two-liter four-cylinder stayed, the transmission is a six-speed manual and the drive goes to the front axle, completed by a mechanical limited slip differential. At the Nürburgring circuit the car set a record in its category.
The model combines a deep blue body with the number three on the flanks and with the accessories that set the car apart from the ordinary road version. The sizable rear wing, the three exhaust tips in the center and the low front spoiler are all kept. The miniature is finished and needs no finishing off.
The same maker also has a later car from the same role, so both forms can be displayed side by side and the differences in the markings compared.
For a collection a piece like this carries a different weight than a production car. The markings with the race number make it a record of a particular season, whereas a road form stays timeless. Anyone building a scene with circuit facilities, a pit lane or a finishing straight will use it as company for the racing machines.
