Rolls of adhesive tape and masking tape behave on a workbench like nothing else: they roll, drop behind boxes and always turn up the moment you stop needing them. The holder gives them a permanent place, so you reach where you expect them and the end of the tape is in view.
A roll laid on the bench with its sticky edge down picks up dust and sanding dust. Such tape then does not hold along its whole length on the model, and paint creeps under its edge exactly where the line should be sharp. A roll stored in a stand touches the bench only on its side and stays clean, which shows in the result when masking.
Stand the holder on the side of the bench where your working hand is, so the tape can be torn off in one movement. Fold the end of the tape back by a few millimeters, so you can find it with a fingernail next time. Store the rolls out of direct sunlight and away from heating; adhesive softens in warmth and the tape then leaves residue on the model.
The holder will be appreciated by anyone who masks and tapes regularly and has more than one roll on the bench. Compare the diameter and width of your rolls against the dimensions of the holder beforehand. What is for sale is the holder; tape is not included, unless stated otherwise.
