These are 3D decals, not photo-etched parts, resin or an airplane model. The set contains relief, color-printed decals for the cockpit interior of the American carrier-based dive bomber Douglas SBD-3 Dauntless in 1:72 scale. The 3D decals have a slight raised relief and a photorealistic print – the instrument panel, the side consoles and the belts therefore look three-dimensional without your having to paint them. They are applied like wet decals directly onto the plastic parts of the model. The set is intended for the SBD-3 Dauntless kit in 1:72 scale from FlyHawk. It is made by Kelik.

Use

• Check that your base kit is the SBD-3 Dauntless in 1:72 scale from FlyHawk.
• Paint the surface (the plastic cockpit part) in a dark color and let it dry – the decal will stand out better.
• Dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing into place and press it down gently.
• Blot the excess water away and let it dry thoroughly; do not fold it over sharp edges.
• It is not photo-etched metal or resin – it is not bonded with super glue, it holds with its own layer.
