Responsibility details are not available.
The Porsche 911 Dakar is an off-road oriented form of the 911 of the 992 generation. Against the ordinary coupe it has raised ground clearance, tires with an off-road tread pattern and protective elements on the lower part of the body, so that it can be driven off the asphalt as well. The look gains a trait by it that is not normally seen on a 911: the car stands higher, looks better prepared for rough going, and a rally rendition suits it better than it does the standard coupe.
The miniature is done in the Ice Grey Metallic shade, that is a light metallic gray, and it carries the Rally 1978 Tribute designation, which refers to the rally past of the marque. A light metallic gray is a rewarding choice for a small scale: it does not flood the shapes the way dark shades do, and the edges of the fenders and the pressed details stay legible.
The 1:64 scale gives the car a length of around seven centimeters, so the model fits into the palm and takes up little room on a shelf. It is the most widespread collector's scale for passenger cars, so the model matches the other pieces in a collection in size. In a display case it stands out against a light background, where the metallic gray does not dissolve into the backdrop.
Stand the model away from direct sunlight; harsh light lightens both the shade and the printing in time. Dust it off with a soft brush, as a cloth catches on small parts and bends them. Pick the model up by the body, as the small external projections are the most vulnerable things of all at this scale. The model is supplied on its own; the other cars of a collection and a display case have to be obtained separately, unless stated otherwise.
