A set of two paints of 30 ml each for an airbrush: the cream base and the saturated red of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR circuit car in its advertising livery. The paints are pre-thinned, so they are applied straight from the bottle.

In the middle of the 1970s the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR circuit car was among the fastest cars that could be had almost over the counter, and the advertising finish with a light base and saturated red areas gave it a look that spectators remembered sooner than the starting numbers. The pair of bottles in this package aims at precisely that one.
The package is made up of one thirty-milliliter bottle of the cream tone and one with the same volume of the red. Both are mixed for an airbrush and thinned so that they can be used without topping up and without a lengthy testing of the ratio.
The difference against an ordinary modeling paint is visible on the edge of a part. The pigment is finely ground, so the layer stays thin and does not round off the sharp transitions on the hood or the lip of a fender. The light tone moreover covers without starting to pull toward yellow after the second pass, which tends to be the greatest disappointment with cream shades. The red beside it holds its saturation even in a thin film, so it does not have to be oversprayed to a depth and form a step at the boundary of the two colors.
It is applied in several light passes onto a smoothly sanded base. The better the foundation is leveled, the less work is left for the final polishing and the sooner it is apparent that the shade really is even.
