The Mercedes-Maybach S680 stands at the top of the luxury S line. It differs from the ordinary version in a lengthened wheelbase, a separately arranged rear compartment for passengers and its own conception of the front grille and the rear end. It is powered by a 6-liter V12 engine with a pair of turbochargers, so it belongs among the last production limousines with a twelve-cylinder at all.
The model captures the car in black paint and in the form of the 2022 model year. The 1:64 scale means that a limousine roughly five and a half meters long comes out as a model around eight and a half centimeters long. It is a format that fits into a common display case as well as onto a shelf above a workbench, and several cars are easily collected side by side in it. The packaging is a blister.
The model comes into its own best in a closed display case, where dust does not settle on it; brush settled dust off with a soft brush, not with a dry cloth, which abrades the surface. Avoid direct sun, because the paint and the colored markings change shade in time. When unpacking it from the blister, do not pull on the body and take the model out by the backing, so that small external elements are not loosened.
The model will be appreciated by collectors of modern limousines and by builders of city scenes in 1:64 scale, where it will serve as a parked or a passing car. It also suits being a gift for the owner of a real car.
The model is finished, it is not assembled and you need neither paints nor glue for it; they are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
