The plastic set from the manufacturer Trumpeter contains several pieces of the Ka-27 helicopter in 1:700 scale. This is not a stand-alone helicopter model, but an accessory for populating ship models in the same scale. The parts tend to be molded in clear plastic. Glue, paints and the target ship model are not included in the package.
The Ka-27 (NATO reporting name Helix) is a Soviet and later Russian naval helicopter with two coaxial rotors. Its main task is anti-submarine warfare and rescue operations from the decks of ships. The coaxial rotor arrangement allows compact dimensions suited to operation from a limited deck area.
Separate the small rotors and landing gear with a sharp knife and glue them with super glue or with thin cement for plastic. Painting is possible with a brush as well as with an airbrush; the base color first, then the details. The finished helicopters are seated on the helicopter deck or in the hangar of the ship model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
