This injection-molded plastic set from Trumpeter (China) in 1:700 scale holds six models of the MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor. It serves as an accessory for the decks of carriers and helicopter ships in this scale. The package consists of plastic sprues, decals and instructions; paints and glue are not included.
The V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor that combines the vertical takeoff and landing of a helicopter with the range and speed of a turboprop aircraft. The MV-22 version serves with the Marine Corps to carry troops and cargo and routinely operates from the decks of amphibious and assault ships.
Given the small scale, handle the parts carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The rotors and the wing can be set either folded or spread, depending on the scene on the deck. Paint with an airbrush in shades of naval gray; a thin wash will pick out the fine detail. The set fits a ship model as its embarked air group.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
