A modern injection-molded plastic kit of the British Comet cruiser tank from the manufacturer Vespid Models in 1:72 scale. Thanks to slide mold technology the model carries sharp and fine surface detail. In the package you will find photo-etched parts, a choice between a metal and a plastic gun barrel and link-and-length tracks. Several marking options and camouflage schemes are enclosed as well.
The Comet was the last and most capable British cruiser tank used in the Second World War. It was based on the proven Cromwell but received a better-shaped turret and a powerful 77 mm gun that could threaten even the heavier German tanks. It entered the fighting at the end of the war in 1945, excelled in speed and reliability and served in the British army long after the war.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the road wheels before closing the hull up, so that the tracks seat correctly. Use liquid cement for plastic on the plastic joints and bond the small photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. A primer undercoat, spraying with an airbrush and final weathering with washes and pigments prove themselves, bringing out the detail and suggesting dust and mud.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
