Eduard 1:72 A-7E Corsair II is a photo-etched detail set, not a model. It adds fine metal details to a plastic kit of the A-7E Corsair II that injection-molded plastic cannot manage.
Responsibility details are not available.
This product is not a kit but a photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It contains fine photo-etched parts that refine and bring to life a plastic A-7E Corsair II model, completing and replacing details that injection-molded plastic cannot capture faithfully.
The LTV A-7 Corsair II was an American subsonic carrier-based attack aircraft intended for strikes against ground targets. The A-7E version with the TF41 engine was among the most widespread and served on the decks of US Navy carriers, among others in Vietnam and in later conflicts. The machine stood out for its long range, its weapons load and an advanced system for accurate delivery, which made it a reliable strike platform.
The photo-etched parts are meant for advanced modelers. The individual pieces are separated from the fret with a sharp knife, bent in a bending tool or over a sharp edge and joined with super glue (cyanoacrylate); larger areas can also be soldered. Degrease the parts before gluing so that they hold well. Tie the assembly together with a coat of primer, followed by the airbrush and a fine highlight with a wash. The set is an accessory for a plastic A-7E Corsair II kit in 1:72 scale, which has to be obtained separately.
