1:72 AC-130J is a masking set from Eduard for a model of the AC-130J gunship in 1:72 scale. Precisely cut masks shorten the preparation of the glazed areas for painting.

This is not a kit but an accessory for a build. The package contains pre-cut self-adhesive masks with which you cover the glazing and other places that are to stay clean after spraying. The set is made by the Czech firm Eduard, which cuts the masks to the shape of a particular kit in 1:72 scale, so they fit the canopy frames without further trimming.
The AC-130J is the gunship version of the C-130J transport aircraft. It serves for direct fire support of ground units, has its armament mounted in the side of the fuselage and orbits in a turn over the target. It can be told from the transport Hercules by its sensor fairings, gun ports and rich antenna fit. On a model that means large glazing of the flight deck and a number of small clear parts, whose masking with tape by hand is a lengthy job.
Apply the masks onto degreased and dry glazing and press the edges with a toothpick, so that no paint runs under them. First spray a thin layer of the shade of the frames, let it dry and only then carry on with the covering layers, because any creep will then stay in the color of the frame and will not show. Remove the mask shortly after drying and pull it with tweezers at a sharp angle, so as not to tear off the dried finish. Wipe any remains of adhesive off with a cotton swab dampened in alcohol.
