Eduard 1:72 stencil markings for the Avia CS-199 is a sheet of waterslide decals with the small technical lettering of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of classic waterslide decals from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory with the small technical lettering (the stencils) for the Avia CS-199 trainer. The markings take in service lettering and warning and operating signs that appeared on the real machine on the airframe, the engine and the control surfaces. They break up the plain areas of the skin and lift the realism of a finished model markedly.
The Avia CS-199 was the two-seat training version of the postwar Czechoslovak S-199 fighter, built from components derived from the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 with a Junkers Jumo engine. It served for pilot training and became one of the typical machines of the postwar Czechoslovak Air Force.
Transfer the decals onto well dried gloss varnish, which prevents silvering. Use a decal softener so that the markings settle into the engraved lines and onto curved surfaces, and fix them at the end with a coat of varnish. Small stencils take more work to apply, but the reward is a faithful and lively surface.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
