A colored 3D-printed interior by Quinta Studio in 1:72 scale, intended for models of the British Avro Lancaster bomber in the B.I and B.III versions. The raised, fully colored details are printed on a decal backing paper and are transferred onto the model by soaking in water. This is not etch and not resin. It is based on the dimensions of the Airfix kit.
The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy bomber and one of the most important aircraft of the Royal Air Force in the Second World War. The B.I and B.III versions differed mainly in the type of engines; otherwise they shared the same airframe and the same richly equipped pilot and navigator stations.
Coat the cockpit surfaces with gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22) and let them dry. Cut the part from the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place; it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds precisely on the gloss varnish. In 1:72 scale work with tweezers; on complex surfaces a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as their chemistry will attack the printed resin.
This is an accessory to a plastic model, not the model itself. The Airfix base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
