Eduard 1:72 B-17F/G masks is a cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for masking the glazing and wheels of a model of the American B-17 bomber. It is not a model but an accessory that makes painting easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard holds precisely cut self-adhesive masks in fine Japanese kabuki tape for 1:72 scale. It is not a kit or a model but an accessory for modelers that makes masking the glazing and the wheels markedly easier and more accurate while spraying paint.
You stick the masks onto the frames of the cockpit glazing and other glazed areas and onto the wheel hubs. After spraying, the glazing stays clear and the tires free of paint. Kabuki tape conforms well to curved shapes, holds tightly and leaves no adhesive when peeled off. The result is sharp and straight frame lines with no cutting of tape by hand.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War. The set covers both the F and the G variants; the G version differs from the F in the added chin gun turret under the nose. The number of turrets and glazed areas makes masking a lengthy job.
The set holds only the cut masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
