The set is not an aircraft kit but a collection of color self-adhesive photo-etched parts for refining the interior of a model of the four-engine B-17G Flying Fortress bomber in 1:72 scale. The instrument panels, side panels, belts and other details are printed in color, so they bring the cockpit to life markedly without the need for laborious hand painting of small elements.
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress was the main daylight strategic bomber of the US Army Air Forces in the Second World War. The G version was distinguished by a chin turret for defense against head-on attacks by fighters and by extensive defensive armament. It flew mainly over Europe in the formations of the bomber groups.
The color self-adhesive parts are peeled off and transferred into place; glue the smaller parts that are not self-adhesive with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). We recommend matching the shades of the interior with the rest of the cockpit. The work calls for tweezers and precision in placing small parts.
This is a color photo-etched accessory set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
