Eduard 1:72 B-24 bomb bay is a photo-etched set for sharpening up the bomb bay of a plastic model of the B-24 Liberator bomber. It is not a kit but an accessory to a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard holds stainless steel photo-etch aimed at the bomb bay of a plastic model of the B-24 Liberator bomber in 1:72 scale. It supplies the fine structure of the bomb bay, the bulkheads and the bomb racks that injection-molded plastic cannot capture in a matching thickness. The set is not an aircraft model in itself; it is an accessory to the base kit.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the period of the Second World War. It stood out for long range and a large bomb load, which it carried in exactly that roomy bomb bay with its roll-up doors. It was deployed in Europe and in the Pacific and ranks among the most produced American aircraft of its day.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a firm surface and bonded as a rule with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Make the bends along the score line, ideally in a bending tool. Degrease the parts before painting. The set shows at its best on a model with the bomb bay open.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a kit. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
