Kelik 1:72 B-24D Liberator offers printed relief for the pilot's cockpit of the four-engine bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
On a 1:72 bomber the interior tends to be the least accessible part of the build. Printed decals with a raised surface shorten that job: they bring the colors and the impression of relief at once, and the fitting manages without tweezers for tiny photo-etched parts.
The Consolidated B-24D was the first mass-produced rendition of the Liberator. Its slender Davis-type wing gave it a range and a load that the four-engine competition did not reach, and four R-1830 Twin Wasp radial engines drove it over Europe, the Pacific and the North Atlantic. The best-known action by these machines remains the low-level attack on the Romanian refineries at Ploiesti in August 1943. The crew was usually ten men and the bombers operated from improvised airfields on three continents.
Finish the inside of the pilot's compartment before you glue the fuselage halves together, otherwise you will not reach it. Unify the base with a gloss clear coat, otherwise silvering will appear under the film. Once stuck on, let everything dry out properly and only then close the structure up.
The set stays with the interior; the airframe of the bomber is bought separately.
