The 1:72 B-24J Liberator SPACE set from Eduard brings color three-dimensional decals for the cockpit of the four-engine bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPACE line is a way to get a colorful and three-dimensional interior into a small scale without assembling tiny parts from etch. The carrier is a decal with a layer that has genuine thickness, so the instrument panel and the side panels have visible relief and do not look like a printed surface. Steel seat belts are usually a complement to the line. The kit of the bomber is sold separately.
The J version was the most numerously built variant of the Liberator and at the same time the most widespread American heavy bomber of the Second World War. The recognition feature is the powered nose turret, thanks to which the machine finally gained a defense against head-on attacks. The slender Davis wing gave great range, and the four Pratt and Whitney R-1830 radial engines then gave the power for operations over Europe and over the Pacific.
The area under the decal is sprayed with gloss varnish so that no silvered edges arise. Only the backing paper is moistened, the element is lifted off with tweezers and fixed with white glue without needless shifting; do not use decal softener at all, the chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the element. Once it has dried, a matte overcoat is enough and the interior is finished.
